Self Defense Class (Beginner)

This is a 1 hour class every Sunday from 9am-10am and will be billed monthly at $250/month.  Not all topics mentioned below will be covered each/every week.  This class is designed to be an ongoing weekly self defense class.  This being the first part of a larger training group that includes weekly instruction and must be completed prior to moving to the next level which could be several months. 

Tier 1: Foundations (Beginner)

Focus: Building foundational skills in awareness, basic self-defense, and firearm safety.

Curriculum:

  • Situational Awareness & De-escalation:
    • Recognizing pre-assault indicators.
    • Verbal de-escalation techniques.
    • Understanding the psychology of conflict.
    • Developing a personal safety plan.
  • Empty-Hand Self-Defense Fundamentals:
    • Basic stances, footwork, and movement.
    • Simple strikes (punches, palm strikes, kicks).
    • Fundamental blocks and parries.
    • Escapes from basic grabs and holds.
    • Introduction to ground defense (getting back to feet).
  • Firearm Safety & Handling:
    • Four basic rules of firearm safety.
    • Safe gun handling and storage.
    • Firearm nomenclature and function.
    • Proper grip, stance, and sight alignment.
    • Basic marksmanship drills (static range).
  • Legal & Ethical Use of Force:
    • Understanding local and state laws regarding self-defense.
    • The concept of reasonable force.
    • Legal and ethical considerations of using a firearm in self-defense. ginner)

Self Defense Class (Intermediate)

This is a 1 hour class every Sunday from 11am-12pm and will be billed monthly at $250/month.  Not all topics mentioned below will be covered each/every week.  This class is designed to be an ongoing weekly self defense class.  This being the second part of a larger training group that includes weekly instruction and must be completed prior to moving to the next level which could be several months. 

Tier 2: Integration (Intermediate)

Focus: Integrating martial arts techniques with firearm handling and tactical movement.

Prerequisites: Completion of Tier 1.

Curriculum:

  • Advanced Empty-Hand Techniques:
    • Combinations of strikes and blocks.
    • More complex escapes and takedowns.
    • Introduction to grappling and control techniques.
    • Defending against multiple attackers.
  • Firearm Manipulation & Accuracy:
    • Drawing from concealment.
    • Reloading and malfunction drills.
    • Advanced marksmanship drills (moving targets, multiple targets).
    • Shooting from cover and concealment.
  • Integrating Martial Arts & Firearms:
    • Drawing a firearm while moving.
    • Using empty-hand techniques to create space for a draw.
    • Transitioning between empty-hand and firearm techniques.
    • Tactical movement with a firearm (e.g., clearing rooms, hallways).Untimely draw scenarios and responses.
  • Scenario-Based Training:
    • Force-on-force scenarios using marking cartridges or training simulators.
    • Applying learned skills in realistic situations.
    • Stress inoculation exercises.

Self Defense Class (Advanced)

This is a 1 hour class every Sunday from 1pm-2pm and will be billed monthly at $250/month.  Not all topics mentioned below will be covered each/every week.  This class is designed to be an ongoing weekly self defense class.  This being the third part of a larger training group that includes weekly instruction and must be completed prior to moving to the next level which could be several months. 

Tier 3: Integration (Advanced)

Focus: Refining skills under high-stress conditions and developing advanced tactical thinking.

Prerequisites: Completion of Tier 2 or instructor approval.

Curriculum:

  • Advanced Close Quarters Combat (CQC):
    • More Advanced grappling and weapon retention techniques.
    • Close-quarters firearm deployment.
    • Defending against edged weapon attacks.
    • Team tactics (if applicable).
  • Advanced Firearms Tactics:
    • Shooting while moving and communicating.
    • Using cover and concealment in dynamic environments.
    • Low-light shooting techniques.
    • Decision-making under extreme stress.
  • Complex Scenario-Based Training:
    • Highly realistic scenarios involving multiple attackers, complex environments, and time constraints.
    • Stress inoculation and performance under pressure.Post-incident procedures and legal considerations.
    • Case study analysis of real-world self-defense incidents.
  • Tactical Decision-Making & Leadership:
    • Developing tactical plans and strategies.
    • Leading and coordinating in stressful situations.
    • Adapting to changing circumstances.
